Where are you from/where do you live?
I currently live in Brixton Hill, but I am originally from California and came over to the UK in 2021 to get my Master’s degree in Human Resource Management.

When did you join Proxima?
I joined Proxima in September 2022, and it’s amazing how quickly I was able to learn and contribute to the team!

What is your role as a recruiter with Proxima?
I am the Recruitment Assistant for the Recruitment Team supporting both the US and UK. I provide administrative support such as scheduling and candidate communication while also conducting interviews for some of our Delivery Enablement roles as well as our Graduate and Internship Programs.

What does a typical day look like?
A typical day for me usually includes responding to emails and recruitment queries as well as scheduling interviews. I also often have a couple of interviews to conduct myself for a variety of roles which always keeps my days interesting. If I’m in the office you can usually find me in the kitchen getting lattes from our fancy coffee machine or snacking on the different fruits and goodies that are usually available!

What’s a common question you get from applicants?
I am often asked about the culture at Proxima and what I enjoy about working here. This is one of my favorite questions to be asked because there are so many different points and stories I have to share!

What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy the variety that recruitment brings. Hiring for different roles means that I am able to learn about all areas of the business and work with so many different Proximites. I am also a people person and I enjoy being able to speak with so many candidates that can share different experiences.

What are you most proud of about working at Proxima?
Proxima truly cares about its employees. From the culture and work-life balance to the Diversity Committees and Employee Socials, employee well-being is always at the forefront.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
In my spare time I enjoy reading and cooking. I’m also hoping to do a lot of traveling as I had never been to Europe before moving over here!
